Before departing on a trip to India, Joe Manhart said he tried to prepare himself for the poverty he knew existed there. But then he saw it. “The poverty was just very difficult to see,” he said. “It was sad.”
Starting March 21, Manhart and his wife, Pat, spent three weeks traveling through India and Nepal as volunteers with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
